Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions. Here are answers to some of the most common ones — and if you don't see yours, feel free to reach out.

Do you take insurance?

Please contact me directly to discuss insurance and payment options. I'm happy to walk you through what's available and answer any questions about fees, out-of-network benefits, or superbills.

How long are sessions?

Individual and couples sessions are typically 50 minutes. This allows enough time to dig into what matters while keeping the work focused and manageable within your schedule.

How often do we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially when working through something acute or building momentum early on. As you progress, we may shift to every other week — we'll decide together based on your goals and what feels supportive.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes. All sessions are offered virtually, so you can attend from wherever you're comfortable and private. You'll receive a secure video link before each appointment.

What if I've never been to therapy?

That's completely okay — many of my clients are new to therapy. There's no right way to show up. We'll go at your pace, and I'll explain what to expect so you never feel lost or judged. The first step is simply reaching out.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

The therapeutic relationship matters. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation — a no-pressure conversation where you can share what you're looking for, ask questions, and get a feel for my approach. If it doesn't feel like the right match, I'm happy to help point you toward other resources.
